Troubleshooting

If the CMIH App stops responding, crashes, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open, perform one or more of the following troubleshooting steps as needed:

  • Restart your device.  On most devices this can be accomplished by holding the power button down for 30 seconds (or until the device restarts).
  • Make sure you are running Android 11 or later.  To update your Android version:
    • Open your device’s Settings app.
    • Near the bottom, tap System and then Advanced and then System update.
    • Depending on your phone, you might need to tap About phone or About tablet and then Software update.
    • View your update status. Follow any steps on the screen.
  • Make sure you have the latest version of the CMIH Android App.  To update the app:
    • Open the Google Play Store.
    • At the top right, tap the profile icon.
    • Tap Manage apps & devices.
    • Under “Updates available,” choose to update all apps or the CMIH App only.
    • If no updates are available, you already have the latest version of the app.
  • If the restart process doesn’t solve the issue, force-stop the CMIH App.  Usually this is done in the Settings app.
  • Clear the CMIH App’s cache and data, again in the Settings app.
  • Uninstall and then reinstall the CMIH App:
    • Open your phone or tablet’s Settings app.
    • Tap Apps and then tap See all apps.
    • Tap the app.
    • Tap Uninstall and then OK.
  • Return to the Google Play Store and reinstall the CMIH App.
